Volodymyr Zelensky addressed representatives of individual nations of the Russian Federation. “Chechens, Ingush, Ossetians, Circassians … You should not die in Ukraine. Your sons should not die in Ukraine. You have no such obligation or debt” – said the President of Ukraine.
“Nations of the Caucasus! All nations in Russia! You have no reason to be among those many who still serve the one who wants this war,” said the Ukrainian president in the video released on Thursday.
“You should not die in Ukraine. Your sons should not die in Ukraine. You have no such obligation or debt” – he added.
“We can see that you are opposed to the criminal mobilization by which the Russian authorities want to hide their defeat,” continued the head of state. “Defend your freedom now in the streets and squares, so that you do not have to fight in the mountains and forests for the right to life, when the Russian authorities start new waves of mobilization” Zelenskiy said.
“Nobody should be involved in the shameful war. Dagestanians shouldn’t die in Ukraine. Chechens, Ingush, Ossetians, Circassians and no other nation under the Russian flag. That’s almost 200 nations in total … You know who is sending them to Ukraine.” The one who sends, wants them to become ‘cargo 200’ (ie for them to die – ed.) – said the Ukrainian president.
In the evening, on Twitter, Zelenskiy said that he appreciated the clear position of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the criminal intentions of Russia, which is seeking illegal annexation of Ukrainian territories. Guterres previously pointed out that any annexation carried out by force is a violation of the United Nations Charter.
“At this dangerous moment, I must underline my duty as Secretary General to uphold the Charter of the United Nations. The Charter is clear. Any annexation of the territory of one state by another state, carried out by threat or use of force, constitutes a violation of the Principles of the Charter and international law” – he wrote Guterres on Twitter.
“I appreciate the clear position of the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the criminal intentions of the Russian Federation, which is striving to illegally annex other areas of Ukraine: such actions will have no legal force, grossly violate the Goals and Principles of the UN Charter and will not be recognized by the world” – he noted also on Twitter the Ukrainian president.
Illegal “voting” ended on Tuesday in the occupied parts of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Kherson oblasts to sanction the accession of these areas to Russia. On Thursday, the Kremlin announced that President Vladimir Putin would announce the annexation of the occupied territories the very next day. The US, EU, NATO and many European countries condemned the pseudo-referenda and announced that they would not recognize their results.
