Zaniolo: – I extend my hand and put myself at the disposal of AS Roma’s family
Nicolo Zaniolo, who wanted to leave Roma in the winter transfer window but the transfer did not take place, sent the “ANSA” his statement.

As he wrote:- Many things have been said and written in recent weeks that are not true. I came to Rome as an unknown player and the fans welcomed me as one of their own. They gave me confidence, courage, love in the scary and dark moments of my injuries. When I scored in Tirana, in the final of the Conference League, I felt that I had paid them back for everything I had received, contributing to a great and unforgettable moment of joy for all Roman players. (…) The last few months have been a delicate period for me, when it was difficult for me to understand what my professional future would be like. But I always worked hard in training and in matches. After recent events, for the first time I was afraid for myself and my family, I felt abandoned. This has never happened to me before, I was terrified. But the future is in our hands: I extend my hand and place myself completely at the disposal of the AS Roma family.
However, it seems too late for such gestures. Recall that after the whole transfer saga, Jose Mourinho stated: – I want people who want to play for Roma, to fight for this team. If you don’t fit in with the family, you need to find a solution and leave. Family is for people who want to be with their family.
