Xiaomi added to the stove. The foldable MIX Fold 2 has a unique housing

The housing of the new Xiaomi foldable smartphone is incredibly slim. In spite of this, it was possible to fit a battery with a reasonable capacity.

Do you remember the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold model that debuted in March 2021? It is possible that it was not, because this one never found its way to Poland. Perhaps his successor will also not hit, but it is worth taking a look at, because it is a phenomenon in the world of folded smartphones.

The design used by Xiaomi measures:

• 11.2 mm thick when folded;
• 5.4 mm thick when unfolded.

For comparison, unfolded Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is 6.3 mm, and when folded at its thickest point, it is 15.8 mm thick. After bending the screen, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is almost 30 percent. slimmer.

This is due to the hinge, thanks to which xiaomi – unlike Samsung – folds symmetrically. The display then takes the shape of a drop of water.

Despite a much thinner housing, the MIX Fold 2 has a larger battery than (4500 instead of 4400 mAh). However, it should be noted that the Xiaomi smartphone is slightly longer and noticeably wider.

The foldable Gorilla Glass Victus housing includes:

• 8.02 inch AMOLED internal screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1914 (360 ppi) with a variable refreshing up to 120 Hz;
• 6.56 inch external screen with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 (418 ppi) and refreshing 120 Hz;
• stereo speakers;
• Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1;
• 12 GB of RAM;
• 256, 512 GB or 1 TB of data memory;
• main camera 50 Mpix (1 / 1.56 inch) with optical image stabilization and aperture f / 1.8;
• 13 Mpix camera with f / 2.4 ultra wide lens;
• 8 Mpix camera with 2x telephoto lens and f / 2.6 aperture;
• 4500 mAh battery with 67 W quick charge

These are solid parameters, although the Galaxy Z Fold 4 defends itself with a higher-class telephoto lens (3x instead of 2x), a certificate of water resistance as well as inductive and reverse charging.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 has – just like the series Xiaomi 12S – a camera branded by Leica, with filters prepared by this brand.

For now, the smartphone has only hit the Chinese market, where the prices are as follows:

• 12/256 GB – 8999 yuan (about 6070 PLN);
• 12/512 GB – 9999 yuan (about PLN 6,740);
• 12/1024 GB – 11,999 yuan (about PLN 8090).
