Thermomix problems
Further, the company explains in detail in which situations the device can become dangerous. “When the standard measuring cup is inserted into the Thermomix TM6, it sticks tightly to the lid. The fact that the measuring cup is inserted firmly prevents it from falling out when removing the mixing bowl lid. the edges may have escaped sufficient amount of steam “- informs the manufacturer.
“During the cooking process or the preparation of certain recipes, ingredients can rise to the surface, thicken and prevent steam from escaping from the pan. As a result, in extremely rare cases, pressure may build up in the mixing bowl during cooking or stewing (or heating at 95 ° C and above), which may lead to sudden and uncontrolled leakage of hot food, which may cause burns in individual cases.“- we read further.
“It should be remembered that the probability of the cooked ingredients overflowing or uncontrolled spattering out is significantly higher if the maximum allowable filling level of the mixing bowl, recommended in the user manual, also marked inside the mixing bowl, is exceeded” – the company representatives note.
Thermomix problems – what does the company advise?
As we read further, when cooking (stewing) at a temperature of 95 degrees C or higher, always use a basket instead of the TM6 measuring cup. “The basket rests loosely on top of the pan, allows the steam to pass through, and also prevents the food from splashing out of the mixing bowl. This is a simple but necessary action that will have virtually no impact on the dining experience and can prevent a potential problem,” explains the manufacturer .
