Volleyballers’ World Cup: in Katowice, Aleja Gwiazd and Fan Zone for decisive matches

The ceremony in Aleja is planned a few hours before the match between Poland and Mexico. Krzysztof Ignaczak, Artur Szalpuk, Damian Schulz and Robert Prygiel will also appear there. The ceremony will be accompanied by a performance by a mining orchestra.

– Katowice is the Mecca of Polish volleyball. In the legendary Spodek Arena, Polish volleyball players won the world championship in 2014, and last year the bronze medal of the European championship. I hope that thanks to our great fans and their encouragement, Spodek will fly away again – said Marcin Krupa, mayor of the city.

On September 10 and 11, a Fan Zone with a capacity of three thousand people will be opened at the Monument to Silesian Insurgents. The semi-final matches and medals will be displayed there on a large screen. Due to the launch of the zone, buses and trams will run more frequently near Spodek.
