Ukraine. The state takes over strategic enterprises
The shares of five Ukrainian companies of strategic importance, including the largest oil-producing company – Ukrnafta and manufacturer of aircraft engines Motor Sichhave been taken over by the state, said Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (RCNiO) of Ukraine on Monday.

The decision was formally made by the National Securities and Exchange Commission (NKCPFR), which ordered compulsory transfer to the state of the ownership of private shares in Ukrnafta, Ukrtatnafta, Motor Sicz, AwtoKrAZ and Zaporiżtransformator – was provided by the Ukrainska Prawda website.
The NKCPFR’s decision was based on the law on compulsory takeover of companies under martial law or a state of emergency passed in September and orders issued by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, added Jarosław Żełezniak, Deputy of the Supreme Council on Telegram.
