Reports on the removal of the Russian flag from the headquarters of the pro-Kremlin “authorities” were also confirmed on Thursday by the deputy head of the authorities of the Kherson region, Yuri Sobolevsky, who was loyal to Kiev.

The official posted a photo of the building in an entry on the Telegram channel. “Regional state administration in Kherson. The photo was taken today (Thursday – ed.). The mysterious disappearance, you understand what … Kherson was, is and will be an exclusively Ukrainian city” – wrote Sobolewski.

The Ukrainian media also cite the Kherson “governor” of the Russians – Kyryl Stremousov, who urged the inhabitants to evacuate, said on Thursday that Russian troops “will most likely depart to the left (eastern) bank of the Dnieper”.

– This may be a provocation to create the impression that the villages have been abandoned and that it is safe to enter them (Ukrainian forces – ed.) – said a spokeswoman for the Defense Forces in the south Ukraine Natalia Humeniuk during her appearance on Ukrainian TV. She emphasized that taking into account the fact that the Russian troops “have long been preparing for fighting in the city and how they deployed their forces”, the Ukrainian side is aware of the planned tactics.

– You should be aware that hybrid war also includes such information slips, attacks that may be aimed at weakening the troops – she pointed out. She added that although the enemy “gives the impression of a total evacuation”, Ukrainian forces observe that the Russians are carrying out activities in the occupied territories to create conditions for defense.

Humeniuk said that regular Russian troops remained in Kherson, whose soldiers are dressed in civilian clothes and occupy apartments abandoned by the inhabitants of Kherson and other towns.

Kherson, most of the Kherson region and the southern part of the neighboring Zaporizhia region have been under Russian occupation since the beginning of March. At the end of September, illegal referenda were held in these areas, as well as in the enemy-occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in eastern Ukraine, sanctioning the joining of the conquered territories to Russia. The Kremlin’s decision has not been recognized by most countries in the world, including all EU and FOR THIS.

A Ukrainian counteroffensive is underway in the northern part of the Kherson region. In recent weeks, the Russian occupation authorities have ordered the evacuation of civilians from Kherson.
