He also reported that there were fatalities and injured. – There was an attack, people are dying, there are more and more victims – he said. – This is our everyday life. In this way, Russia was preparing for this UN session, added Zelenskiy.

Two hours later, he reported that at least 15 people were killed and 50 injured in the Russian missile attack on the railway station in Czaplin in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He added that four carriages had set fire.

The Ukrainian leader previously said at the UNSC that Wednesday is Ukraine’s Independence Day. – Now you can all see how much our country is a security for the rest of the world. Whether Ukraine will be free, safe, or the integrity of our country and the inviolability of our borders will be inviolable affects the rest of the world, he continued.

He pointed out that “Russia is now putting the world on the verge of a nuclear catastrophe.” – There is a nuclear power plant in Ukraine, the largest in Europe and it is now in a war zone – he added, referring to the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant. According to him, Russian provocations and shelling are “a huge threat”.

“The Russians must immediately stop nuclear blackmail and withdraw completely from the region of this plant,” said the Ukrainian leader.

He also stressed that “the Russian port blockade in the Sea of ​​Azov has already destabilized the food market”. – But let’s remember one more aspect, the energy aspect – he continued. He pointed out that “Russia is also deliberately trying to impose a reduction in access to electricity” and “is also constantly using its veto right in the United Nations”.
