Ukrainian forces destroyed the base of Russian airborne troops in the city of Kadyjewka (former Stakhanov). It was located in the Donbas Hotel. About 200 soldiers are dead, the head of the Luhansk region authorities, Serhiy Hayday, announced on Friday.
Hajdaj informed in an entry on the Telegram channel that the Russians suffered losses as a result of the shelling of the Donbass hotel, which since 2014, i.e. from the occupation of the 75,000-strong city of Kadyjewka by pro-Russian separatists, had been the occupant’s quarters.
Russian propaganda media reported that the Ukrainian armed forces shelled the Donbass Hotel from the US HIMARS missile systems.

Attack on the mercenary base in the Wagner Group
In early June, the armed forces of Ukraine launched an attack in Kadyjewka against a Russian mercenary base from a private Russian military company, the Wagner Group. According to reports from journalist Roman Boczkała, only one person probably survived at the time.
As the Ukrainian general staff informed on Friday morning, from February 24, i.e. from the beginning of the Russian invasion of the neighboring country, the aggressor’s troops lost about 46,250 soldiers, as well as 1,936 tanks, 4,251 armored vehicles, 234 combat aircraft and 202 helicopters.
