Thymesia will not be the next Bloodborne. The creators were inspired by the work of From Software, but the latest reviews confirm that not everything went well and that the developers did not provide the right quality in some places.
On Thursday, Thymesia will hit PS5, XSX | S and PC, but it’s not another great soulslike production that will appeal to all players. The game has currently received a score of 69%, but it is worth noting that the title receives high marks (8/10), but also more critical reviews (3/10).
Some journalists praise, among other things, the quick fight that draws handfuls from Bloodborne and Sekiro. Gameplay generally encourages aggressive play, which can be well received by many players, and the talent system allows you to tailor the gameplay to your own expectations.
However, the title has big problems with telling the plot, which is boring and difficult to understand. In Thymesia, you will find yourself in large maze-like locations and it is easy to get lost while exploring, and the position does not offer many different opponents.
In some texts, you will read positive opinions about the setting or the appearance of the location itself, but Thymesia is not supposed to offer too many original ideas, which makes the proposal boring quickly – it is not as good a game as the above-mentioned productions inspired by the creators.
Some editors also mention a problem with reading moves, which makes it easy to die because the game does not work properly. The creators also did not refine their dodges, some weapons pass through the enemies, and in addition, the position on PS5 can freeze frequently.
