There will be a debate on corruption in the EP! Four MEPs abstained from voting – including… three from Poland

According to Belgian investigators, some members of the European Parliament, including his former deputy head Eva Kaili, allegedly accepted bribes from representatives of Qatar and Morocco in exchange for supporting the interests of these countries in Brussels. The case is in development. In the program “Woronicza 17” hosted by Michał Rachoń, MEP Dominik Tarczyński revealed evidence of a corruption scandal – confirmations of transfers for multimillion amounts.

The issue will also be discussed by the European Parliament, although … not everyone supported holding the debate.

– In the vote to hold an urgent debate on corruption in the EP, only four MEPs abstained

– wrote Tarczyński on social media. Abstaining votes were cast by three MEPs from Poland: Andrzej Halicki and Ewa Kopacz from the Civic Platform, as well as Krzysztof Hetman from PSL. They were joined by Czech MEP Tomáš Zdechovský.
