NVIDIA has presented very interesting details about the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The new edition of the production will receive support for DLSS 3 and ray tracing, and the graphics card manufacturer has confirmed what we can really expect.

On December 14, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will debut on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Owners of the game for previous generation consoles and PC can count on a free update.

NVIDIA has updated its subpage, where it confirms that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will use the potential of RTX series graphics cards and, of course, the manufacturer’s customers can count on DLSS 3.

According to Nvidia – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will receive “New graphics features that take full advantage of the latest PCs and laptops“. What can we expect?

  • RTX Global Illumination (RTXGI) adds more immersive and realistic ray tracing exterior lighting.
  • Ray-traced ambient occlusion improves shading around light-blocking objects
  • Ray-traced shadows increase the fidelity, clarity and visibility of shadows.
  • Ray-traced reflections increase the accuracy and quality of reflections on bodies of water and other reflective surfaces.

However, this is not the end because The game will also get Ultra+ settings that increase draw distance, leaf density, background character detail, asset quality and much more. NVIDIA also confirms that players can count on higher resolution textures and environments will gain “new geometric details”.

It is worth adding, of course, that we may not receive all of the mentioned improvements on consoles.
