The war in Ukraine. The Ukrainian prosecutor’s office detained a collaborator who provided the Russians with data on the location of HIMARS systems

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine reported that the law enforcement authorities detained a resident of the Mykolaiv Oblast who provided Russian forces with information about the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the location of the HIMARS missile systems.

It was established that the man was collecting and passing on information about the Armed Forces by order of a representative of the Russian secret services Ukraine and armaments and ammunition in the Mykolaiv Oblast, and the Russian forces planned, based on these data, to launch missile and artillery attacks.

In addition, the man was looking for the locations and routes of HIMARS systems, the services said.

During the search, he found a telephone with correspondence and conversations with a representative of the Russian secret services, the content of which confirms the collection and transmission of information, it was reported.

On Monday, the Security Service of Ukraine announced the detention of two men in the Donetsk region who informed the Russian army about the locations of the HIMARS missile artillery systems and other armaments of the Ukrainian army.
