The students tortured the teacher because of the poor grade. They were supposed to know her habit

The body of 66-year-old Fairfield High School teacher Nohemy Graber was found in the park hours after her loved ones reported her missing. The corpse was to be hidden under a tarpaulin and elements of railway sleepers, and the cause of death was a head injury. Two suspects in the murder of 16-year-olds were arrested. One of them reportedly boasted of his “feat” in social media, he wrote, inter alia, on the details of the murder weapon and the preparation of an alibi, reports the New York Post.

Willard Noble Chaiden Miller and Jeremy Everett Goodale were charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit a violent crime. On Tuesday, previously unknown circumstances of the event were revealed.

New information suggests a likely motive for the murder. Investigators found that one of the accused, Miller, met with a teacher on the day of the murder to discuss the bad grade she had put on him. After this conversation, Nohemy Graber was supposed to drive her van to the park to take a walk – she was said to be in the habit of doing so. Witnesses later saw a van driven by two young men. The car was abandoned in the area, and another witness testified that he had driven two boys into town. A day later, the woman’s body was found with signs of severe beating. The perpetrators most likely used a baseball bat, reports the New York Post.

Miller was to tell investigators that he was dissatisfied with the way Graber taught Spanish, and that a bad grade was lowering his average significantly.

“Poor judgment is believed to be a motive for Graber’s murder,” wrote Iowa assistant attorney general Scott Brown in official court papers.

Both boys, now 17, will be tried as adults. The processes are scheduled for 2024.
