The president of a well-known chain is concerned about young customers. “They don’t have it easy”
The gallop of prices seems to have no end, but the president of Green Caffe Nero, Adam Ringer, notes that they cannot be raised indefinitely, because customers will not be able to bear it.
“We are aware that customers do not have it easy either and it is not easy to pass these price increases on to customers, because there is a fear that they will resign from our services. We are somehow squeezed between the generally occurring price increases, which concern us very much, and the strained client’s wallet” – he says in an interview with retailnet.pl.
“Especially when it comes to our clients who are the so-called young professionals, i.e. young working people who took out a loan and bought apartments, and their loan installments increased significantly. So there is a fear that these young people on whom our business is built will be forced to save money and perhaps stop coming to us as often as before” he adds.

Ringer does not hide that the operating costs of his company are rising “every moment”. “Every now and then, more suppliers report to us that they have to raise their prices. This applies to, for example, bread suppliers from whom we take baguettes, suppliers of paper cups or take-away packaging. Over the last five months, these costs have increased by about 40 percent.” – he reveals.
It also turns out to be a big burden for the coffee shop chain doubled the minimum wage this year or the upcoming rent renegotiation. “I would wish Ukraine a victory for all of us, because it would solve a lot of problems for us, both on the supply and demand side, and calm down the economy.” says Adam Ringer.
