The Last of Us from HBO with plans for the second season. Viewers will see bloody scenes from The Last of Us Part II

The first season of the HBO and PlayStation series “The Last of Us” is mainly an adaptation of the first Naughty Dog game. Players can count on minor changes compared to the original, but there are many indications that the continuation will present the events of The Last of Us Part II.

In mid-January, the first episode of “The Last of Us” will be broadcast on HBO and HBO Max. The series, developed in cooperation with PlayStation and Naughty Dog, focuses on well-known events that we could get to know in The Last of Us, The Last of Us Remastered or The Last of Us Part I.

The situation may be no different in the case of a sequel – The Hollywood Reporter journalist, talking to Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, suggested that Season 2 may present the events of Naughty Dog’s second game in this universe, and the developers did not hide that this is the plan.

‘The Last of Us’ season 2 aims to ‘bring back’ Naughty Dog’s bold The Last of Us Part II narrative – this is certainly not good news for Pedro Pascal and the players themselves, who believed that after a series of negative comments, the series could take a different path.

If “The Last of Us” from Naughty Dog turns out to be a success, HBO and PlayStation may quickly become interested in creating a second season, which may quickly end the corporation’s cooperation in this universe.

Earlier, Neil Druckmann added that he does not intend to repeat the mistake of “Game of Thrones” and does not want the series to overtake the source material (in this case, Naughty Dog games), so apparently we will have to wait a long time for a potential third season.
