The Germans did not cry as they returned. Ukraine will receive another four PzH 2000

Germany will provide Ukraine with another four PzH 2000 self-propelled guns. Thus, the total number of this particular weapon donated by our western neighbor will increase to 14 pieces.

The German government decided to handing over four more self-propelled artillery systems to Ukraine Panzerhaubitze 2000. This was announced by the German Ministry of Defense in an official statement. “Despite the tense financial situation, the Bundeswehr supports Ukraine with four more self-propelled howitzers Panzerhaubitze 2000 along with an ammo pack. As a result, the number of systems delivered jointly with the Netherlands is 22, of which 14 come from Germany“- reports the ministry.

Panzerhaubitze 2000 (PzH 2000) is German 155mm self-propelled howitzer. Several concerns are responsible for its production: Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, MAK System Gesellschaft and Rheinmetall. Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht notes that this step will increase the number of high-performance guns delivered by Germany to Ukraine to 14. “Panzerhaubitze 2000, provided by Germany and The Netherlands, more than proved themselves in combat. Ukraine appreciates the system and has expressed a desire to have more howitzers. The Germans will comply with this request and will now provide four more self-propelled howitzers to support Ukraine even more in its brave fight against the brutal Russian attack, “she announced.

Panzerhaubitze 2000 is a heavy crawler structure, the weight of which reaches 57 tons. The high mobility of the German howitzer is ensured by 1000 hp engine. PzH 2000 is able to travel at speeds of up to 60 km / h on a paved road. The Germans equipped it with a 155 mm gun with a length of 52 calibers.

The howitzer is characterized by a high rate of fire, high mobility, a significant degree of automation, and the ability to shoot at long distances. Ukrainian artillerymen use DM121 missiles caliber 155 mm to fire from self-propelled howitzers PzH 2000. This ammunition can reach a range of up to 30 kilometers.
