The funeral of Franciszek Pieczka. When and where? The first details of the ceremony

Franciszek Pieczka appeared in over 100 films. He was a graduate of the PWST in Warsaw. He made his debut at the Lower Silesian Theater in Jelenia Góra. Later, he moved to the People’s Theater in Nowa Huta, run by Krystyna Skuszanka. From the 1970s he was associated with the Powszechny Theater in Warsaw. The actor has had over a hundred roles in Polish and foreign productions. Viewers know him best from such films as “The Promised Land”, “Deluge”, “Quo vadis”, “Konopielka” or “Johnnie Wodnik”. However, he gained the greatest popularity and fans’ sympathy thanks to the role of Gustlik in the series “Czterej pancerni i pies”.

Franciszek Pieczka was professionally active until the end. Last year he appeared in the radio play for Radio dla Ciebie entitled “The Morality of Pani Dulska” based on the book by Gabriela Zapolska. In the radio play he was accompanied by Barbara Krafftówna, who played the title role of Aniela Dulska. On November 11, 2017, Franciszek Pieczka was awarded the highest Polish state decoration, the Order of the White Eagle. The actor died on Friday, September 23. He was 94 years old.
