Several institutions are trying to tempt us with the promise of an interest rate of over 8 percent, and one of the banks offered a deposit with an interest rate of 10 percent. per year. However, on the other hand, there are also those that have deteriorated the offer of deposits in the last month. What will 2023 bring for savers? Much will depend on the decisions made by the Monetary Policy Council.

– In recent days, contrary to our predictions, one of the banks offered a deposit with an interest rate of 10 percent. per year. This offer clearly differs from the market standard. As part of the best, promotional products, institutions tempt with deposits with rates not higher than 8-8.5 percent. per year – point out in their analysis Oskar Sekowski and Bartosz Turek from HRE Investments.
Experts emphasize that often offers with the best interest rates are subject to additional requirements (new customer, new funds) or either sold with additional products (account, card, mobile application). The latter may incur monthly fees. “Lucky for those.” can mostly be avoided actively using e.g. a card or an account, they note.
As Sękowski and Turek point out, the latest Credit Agricole deposit at 10 percent. per year is addressed to new customers. It can be used only using the mobile application, and within 14 days of opening a new account.
