Slovakia. Murder of LGBTI + people in front of a bar. It will be treated as terrorism
The National Criminal Agency has announced that double murder in front of an LGBTI + bar in Bratislava has been reclassified as terrorism. Praising this crime, for example on social media, will be a crime in this situation.
The double murder in front of an LGBTI + bar in Bratislava, previously treated as hate killings, was reclassified as terrorism on Monday.
The proceedings in this case are conducted by the National Criminal Agency under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office specialized in investigating the most serious crimes and crimes.
Its spokeswoman, Jana Tokolyova, announced that all the evidence gathered so far indicates that the murder meets the criteria of a terrorist act.

Praising a crime as a crime
In connection with the new qualification, the prosecution emphasized that supporting an act of terrorism is also a criminal offense, subject to imprisonment for three to ten years. According to Tokolyova, law enforcement will act vigorously in such cases.
On Wednesday evening, 19-year-old Juraj K. shot two men, aged 23 and 26, and seriously injured a 28-year-old woman in front of a Bratislava bar.
The perpetrator fled the scene. Police found his body on Thursday morning. Investigators assume he committed suicide. Earlier, the perpetrator posted a manifesto against LGBTI + people and Jews in social networks.
