Edie Falco stars as General Frances Ardmore, the new military commander on Pandora, in Avatar: The Creature of Water. As the Earth is slowly dying and its inhabitants are forced to look for a new home, the general’s task is to adapt Pandora so that people can live on it. However, the popular actress and four-time Emmy Award winner was not to be found in the materials promoting James Cameron’s film. Hence, it was a surprise for the fans that she played in it. For herself, in turn, it was a surprise that “Avatar: The Essence of Water” just hit the cinemas.
“First ‘Avatar’ I saw it when it was released. I shot the second part four years ago. Then I was busy with other work commitments. Then someone mentioned the film, and I thought it probably didn’t do well in theaters because I hadn’t heard anything about it. Yes it was! And when someone recently told me that “Avatar” was going to premiere, I was surprised that it hadn’t come out yet. I’ll probably never get another role because of all that talk,” Falco joked in a recent interview with ABC’s The View.
In the same conversation, the actress revealed that she was not entirely satisfied with the role in which she was cast. He plays one of the few people in the entire film. “I wanted to be blue! I was excited to be blue and tall. I didn’t stay blue or tall,” said the actress.
It is possible that Edie Falco will also appear in the next Avatar movies. Several of these have already been planned. Shooting for the third part has already been completed, the entire script for the fourth part is ready, for which the first act has also been completed. If these films are successful at the box office, in the fifth part, the blue Na’vi will visit Earth. There are also plans for parts six and seven, which, however, will not be directed by Cameron.
