Sara James in the “America’s Got Talent” final. The dancers from Lebanon won

During the two-hour final show, 11 finalists performed on the stage of “America’s Got Talent”. Among them was a 14-year-old from Poland – Sara James. The singer did not win. The audience awarded the most votes to the Mayyas dancers’ ensemble, which was founded in Beirut by choreographer Nadim Cherfan.

Though Sarah James did not win, she delighted Americans from her first appearance in America’s Got Talent. During the auditions for the program, one of the jurors, Simon Cowell, gave her the so-called golden button, guaranteeing her entry into the semifinals of the program in which she sang the song “Rocket Man” from the repertoire of Elton John.

In the finale, she decided on the song “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush from 1985. She received a standing ovation not only from the audience, but also from the jury. You can see it in the video below.

Sarah James – who is the young star?

Sara James was born on June 10, 2008 in Słubice. She is the daughter of a Polish woman and a Nigerian who is also a singer. The young star has been interested in music since childhood. She enrolled at the Stanisław Moniuszko First Degree Music School in Słubice and began attending singing lessons at the Municipal Cultural Center in Słubice. When she was less than seven years old, she took part in the first music competition – the Festival of Christmas Carols, Pastorales and Christmas Songs in Szczecinek, of which she was awarded.

Sara James began her career in television with participation in the Polish edition of “The Voice Kids”, in which she touched the hearts of viewers with the performance of songs from the repertoire of, among others Whitney Houston. In December 2021, she represented Poland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris. With the song “Somebody” she took 2nd place in the finals of the competition, losing only to the representative of Armenia, Malena.
