Russia has already lost all drones from Iran
The daily intelligence update stated that since September, Russia has probably fired hundreds against Ukraine Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), both one-way strike drones (OWA) and more traditional reusable systems.
“Russia has largely used these weapons against tactical military targets and the Ukrainian electrical grid. However, recently, Russian commanders probably wanted Iranian UAVs to prioritize medical facilities as occasional targets as well and hit them with guided munitions if identified. Russia likely devised a plan for a UAV campaign in response to a severe shortage of cruise missiles, but this approach has had limited success.
It was indicated that most of the launched UAVs were neutralized, a since around November 17, no information about a single-use drone strike has been made public.
“Russia most likely almost exhausted its current stocks, but will probably strive to supplement them. Russia can probably acquire OWA from abroad faster than domestically produce new cruise missiles,” it added.
