Raków Częstochowa informed on Friday evening about the first winter transfer, and the team was joined by Jean Carlos.

Raków Częstochowa is the leader of Ekstraklasa, which seems to be the main candidate for the Polish championship. For some time, the club’s authorities have announced reinforcements for the spring round.

This news finally becomes a fact, because on Friday evening, through the official media, it was announced that the acquisition of Jean Carlos had been completed.

The 26-year-old first underwent extensive medical tests, which were successful, so the deal could go ahead.

The Brazilian, who is a Real Madrid alumnus, moves to Jasna Góra from Pogoń Szczecin as part of a definitive transfer. He initialed the contract with the new employer, which will be in force until June 30, 2026. The contract has an option to extend it for another twelve months.

The transaction amount was between EUR 200,000 and EUR 300,000.

Jean Carlos is to be an alternative for coach Marek Papszun in the context of filling the swing position. He can also play as a winger if needed.

– I am very happy to be here. I’m glad I got this chance. This is my third club in this country. I feel good, I have finally acclimatized to Poland. I joined Raków to win the championship – said the interested himself.

The first Polish club of this player was Wisła Kraków and it was from this team that he moved to “Portowce”.

He has made 21 appearances for the team this season, scoring one goal and one assist.

The Brazilian is not the only player recently linked with Raków Częstochowa. In addition, the team’s radars also include Erik Expósito from Śląsk Wrocław and Anzor Mekwabishvili, playing for Dinamo Tbilisi.
