Prince Harry in two interviews. “There comes a time when silence is betrayal”
Prince Harry gave two interviews. Among other things, he said that his relationship with the royal family “never had to be like this”. However, he accused Buckingham Palace of not supporting him and his wife Meghan.
Harry and his wife Meghan have resigned from royal duties in 2020. They moved to the United States, which they explained by the desire to start a new life and cut themselves off from the British media. After the move, they repeatedly criticized the way they were treated by other members royal family.
Prince Harry said in an interview with Britain’s ITV, an excerpt of which was published on Monday, that his troubled relationship with the royal family “never had to be like this” and he would like to “get back” his father and brother. “They have shown absolutely no desire for reconciliation,” he added.
In another interview with CBS, Harry accused Buckingham Palace of not supporting him and his wife. “When they’ve been telling us for six years, ‘We can’t make a statement to defend you,’ but they’ve been doing it for other family members, there comes a point where silence is betrayal,” Prince Harry said.
Both interviews will air in their entirety on January 8. Two days later Harry’s autobiography will be released.
