In the entire country, the number of unemployed decreased in July by 7.8 thousand. and at the end of last month there were 810.2 thous. The unemployment rate remained at 4.9%. – GUS reported on Wednesday. Wages went up faster than inflation. It would seem that the labor market in our country is red hot. However, not all, because there are poviats where, as it stood, so does it stand still.
Poles of unemployment
As far as voivodships are concerned, the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodship still has the highest unemployment rate, but in July only 7.6% was recorded there. manpower without work. That’s 1.4 points. percent less than a year ago. The same year-on-year change took place in the following voivodeships: Kujawsko-Pomorskie (up to 6.8% of the unemployment rate), Lubelskie (up to 4.2%), Pomorskie (up to 4.3%) and Zachodniopomorskie (up to 6, 3 percent). Only a slightly smaller improvement was recorded in the second voivodship in terms of joblessness.
Podparpackie, because this is the voivodeship we are talking about, has an unemployment rate of 7.3 percent, or 1.2 percentage points. percent lower year on year. Breaking the lockdowns on the tourism industry and building a trance on the eastern wall – these may be the reasons for the advancement of the labor market in these and not other regions of the country, looking at the map of declines in the unemployment rate.
However, there are places where the improvement does not apply at all and are still stuck in double-digit unemployment – this is as much as 58 out of 380 poviats in Poland. And one poviat not only has double-digit unemployment, but two are in the first place on the index Szydłowiec poviat in the voivodeship Mazowieckiewhere they have their hands full in the labor office, because they are registered as unemployed as much as 21.3 percent manpower, that is, among people from 18 years of age until retirement. In July, unemployment there even increased by one hundred people to 3.1 thousand. people. It is near Radom, and Radom itself cannot boast of a good labor market, because unemployment is 14.2 percent there.

However, unemployment has not changed in the four poviats, which are right behind Szydłowiec on the negative list, i.e. in Białogard with the voivodeship Zachodniopomorskie (16.2% unemployment), Kętrzyński (15.7%) and Bartoszyckie (15.3%) from the province. Warmia-Masuria and Choszczno from the province. West Pomeranian Voivodeship (15.2 percent). There is a noticeable improvement over 12 months, e.g. in the area of Kętrzyn, the unemployment rate decreased by 1.8 percentage points. percentage points, and in Białogard – by 1.7 percentage points. percent But these are still negative poles of unemployment in the country.
The positive poles are traditionally Poznań and its surroundings (1.1% unemployment). The following places are: Wolsztyn poviat in the voivodeship Greater Poland (1.5%), as well as Sopot and Wrocław (1.6%). Low 1.7% unemployment is still in Warsaw, Katowice, Tychy and Kępno (Greater Poland Voivodeship). From the poviats with the lowest unemployment, it increased in July only in Wrocław by one hundred people, but there it also fell the most over 12 months – by 3.4 thousand.
