The American journalist and activist has just turned 59. She and Brosnan got married 21 years ago and had two sons.

The actor was previously married to Cassandra Harris – from 1980 until her death in 1991. The couple had one biological son, Sean, but they also raised Cassandra’s children from her first marriage: Charlotte and Chris. Pierce adopted them after they lost their dad and took care of them after Harris left.
