Pensions indexation 2023 – table of net increases. Such amounts could soon affect seniors’ accounts [2.11.2022]

The Sejm held a debate on the draft amendment to the act on pensions and disability pensions from the Social Insurance Fund and some other acts. The government’s proposal assumes that from March 2023 pensions will increase by 13.8 percent., but not less than PLN 250. The lowest retirement pension, disability pensions, survivors’ pensions and social benefits in 2023 will amount to PLN 1,588.44.

Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policy, Stanisław Szwed, referring to the statements of MPs, admitted that retirees and pensioners are a group that should be given special care. – The indexation of pensions in 2023 meets these expectations – he said.

He noted that in addition to constant valorization the government had other activities to support seniors, such as the thirteenth and fourteenth pensions is the tax-free amount. The deputy minister informed that in the last three years the government allocated over PLN 116 billion to the indexation of benefits, the thirteenth and fourteenth retirement pension.
