Pensions from ZUS. The number and amount of transfers are huge
“The average payment of old-age and disability pensions in the period January-September this year amounted to 2 thousand PLN 767.47 and was higher than the one paid in the same period last year by 9%. The most important factor influencing the amount of benefits was their indexation — in 2022, the indexation index was 107%, reads the latest ZUS report.
The monthly cost of revaluation of pensions paid from the Social Insurance Fund amounts to PLN 1 billion 431.5 million. Detailed statistics show that the average pension increased in this period to 2 thousand. PLN 867.24 (up 8.9% year on year), family pension – up to PLN 2,000 PLN 535.40 (up 8.1%) and disability pension – up to PLN 2,000. PLN 201.32 (8.4%).

In three quarters of 2022 On average, ZUS paid out PLN 7 million 815.4 thousand per month. pension benefitsi.e. by 17.2 thous. more than in the same period of 2021

On average, each month paid:
- 6 million 48.5 thousand pensions – by 68.9 thous. more than in the same period of 2021
- 1 million 187.8 thousand family pensions – by 8.6 thous. less than in the same period of 2021
- 579.2 thous. disability pensions – by 43.1 thous. less compared to three quarters of 2021
In January-September expenditure on pensions and disability pensions financed from the Social Insurance Fund amounted to PLN 200.2 billioni.e. by 9.4 percent. more than last year.
