Earnings limits for pensioners are to change from September 1 – informs the Social Insurance Institution. The regulation covers disability pensioners and people who have not reached the general retirement age. From the beginning of the new month, the benefit is to be suspended when the monthly income exceeds PLN 8003.20.
You can earn extra money for pensions, but there are certain limits. They change every three months. Their amount depends directly on the average salary in the country in the previous quarter.
– In the second quarter, wages fell, therefore, from September 1, the limits for working beneficiaries ZUS they are also slightly lower – by several dozen zlotys. People who have so far made extra money in a month close to the current limit should be especially careful – explains Paweł Żebrowski, spokesman for the Social Insurance Institution.
Earnings limits for retirees are set to change
– The first income threshold is 70%. average salary. From September, it will be PLN 4,309.40 gross. Monthly earnings up to this amount make no difference to your payment. If the retiree’s or disability pensioner’s income is higher, the payment of the benefit is correspondingly reduced for the month in which the overrun occurred. The second threshold is 130%. of the average salary, from September it is PLN 8,003.20. If it is exceeded, the payment of the benefit for a given month is suspended – indicates the spokesman for ZUS.
The new limit amounts are valid in September, October and November. They will change again from December 1. ZUS emphasizes that the amount of income does not have to be taken care of by pensioners who have reached the general retirement age (60 for women, 65 for men). They can earn extra money without restrictions.
