Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced a new addition to electricity on September 15. The subsidy is intended for people who use electricity for heating, including heat pumps. Electric heating allowance is to be granted on the same terms as other energy allowances. The electricity surcharge is to amount to a minimum of PLN 1,000 – the government does not exclude that it will be higher.
On September 15, during a press conference, Prime Minister Morawiecki gave details of the solution of the frozen electricity rates for consumption up to 2000 KWh. He also announced a new energy supplement for those who use electricity for heating.
A new addition to the electricity. What is known?
In the case of houses heated with electricity or even a heat pump, there is no chance of keeping the consumption below the limit of 2000 KWh. Therefore, the government is planning another energy supplement. This time for people who heat their homes with electricity.
The electricity supplement is to be directed to households where the main heat source is an electric appliance.
Who is the electric heating accessory for?
The electric heating additive is supposed to work similarly to other additives: for coal, pellets, heating oil, wood or LPG gas. Therefore, each household in which electricity is the source of heat will receive the subsidy. The condition will be a declaration submitted to CEEB. There will also be the same principle of granting benefits: one supplement per one residential address.
How much will the electricity supplement be?
There is no official information yet. The Infor website reports that the surcharge for people who heat with electricity will be 1000 PLN. Dziennik Gazeta Prawna in turn informs it will be it not less than PLN 1000 and it is possible that the allowance will be more.
The government is to provide details of the solution later this week.
