The government’s decision on the lowest salaries in 2023 is to be made on Tuesday, “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” reports. The minimum full-time salary will increase to PLN 3,450 gross from January and PLN 3,500 from July. So more than originally planned. This is the last moment to make such a decision, and due to high inflation, the regulations require the rate hike to take place in two stages.

According to the findings of “DGP”, this is the implementation of the “hat trick of Kaczyński” from 2019, where the increase to PLN 3,450 and PLN 3,500 is a step towards the promised increase to PLN 4,000 in the minimum wage.

The daily reminds that at that time there was also a promise to pay two thirteen zlotys to pensioners and to increase EU subsidies per hectare for farmers to the European level.

The last moment to decide on the minimum wage

According to “DGP” information, the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, will present new proposals for the minimum wage at the Tuesday meeting of the Council of Ministers. “This is the last moment to make such a decision, because according to the law on the minimum wage, the government has only until September 15 to announce the rates for next year. inflation the regulations require the increase to take place in two stages “- explains the newspaper.

In accordance with the previously published draft, the government proposed to set the minimum wage from January 1, 2023 in the amount of PLN 3,383 and from July 1, 2023 in the gross amount of PLN 3,450.

Minimum wage in 2022 it amounts to PLN 3,010.
