The European Commission has approved the European Funds for Modern Economy (FENG) program, which is the first of eight programs implementing the Partnership Agreement. Polish companies will receive EUR 7.9 billion, the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy informed on Thursday.
“The European Commission has accepted the first of eight national programs implementing the Partnership Agreement. The European Funds for Modern Economy 2021-2027 program with a budget of EUR 7.9 billion is the largest national program to support innovation in the European Union” – the Ministry of Funds and regional policy.
MFiPR reminded that the European Funds for Modern Economy (FENG) program is a continuation of two previous programs: Innovative Economy 2007-2013 and Intelligent Development 2014-2020. “This is the first national program approved by the European Commission for the implementation of the cohesion policy 2021-2027 in Poland” – emphasized the ministry.
“FENG is largely a continuation of the Intelligent Development Program 2014-2020, but it is characterized by a new, comprehensive approach to the needs of entrepreneurs in the field of R&D and implementation of their results in the enterprise or in the organization” – noted the MFiPR. “The implemented projects will not only strengthen the Polish economy, but also allow it to be shifted to a higher level of technological and pro-ecological advancement” – added.
