The beginning of the new season is disastrous for Manchester Unitedalthough they managed to win Liverpool for the first time in a long time on Monday. Earlier, however, Erik ten Haga’s side suffered defeats against Brighton and Brentford, and David De Gea did not show much in both games. This prompted the club’s authorities to start looking for a new goalkeeper.

According to German journalists, Sport1 is the main candidate for a potential successor David De Gei is Kevin Trapp. The 32-year-old would be a proper competition for the Spaniard and make at least in this formation a relative calm. Manchester was even about to make an offer for the Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper, which assumed about 10 million euros for the club and a gigantic salary for the player. It would be as high as 11 million pounds, which is five times as much as it earns today.

Kevin Trapp has been an Eintracht player since 2019, when he moved from PSG. So far he has played 261 matches in Frankfurt and kept a clean sheet in 59 of them.
