Mateusz Klich is likely to become a new DC United player, as reported by Footmercato.net. The Pole is one step away from an agreement with the American team.

Mateusz Klich has quite a disappointing period behind him, because he first lost his place in the starting line-up of Leeds United, and then was not included in the Polish national team for the World Cup in Qatar.

The latter in particular seems to have been a major blow to the 32-year-old as he may have missed his only chance of a career to go to the World Cup.

The former player, among others, VfL Wolfsburg, however, does not intend to dwell on it and focuses on the future. There have been rumors for some time that he wants to change colors in the winter transfer window.

So far, there has been a lot of talk about him in the context of teams from Belgium and the Netherlands. However, the cliché will probably end up somewhere else.

According to Footmercato.net, the Pole will join the Major League Soccer club, DC United. He is one step away from an agreement with a new team, and the source said that “the contract is 95 percent settled”. He will be undergoing medical tests soon.

In the new team, the central midfielder will have the opportunity to work with Wayne Rooney. The former Manchester United player has been responsible for the performance of the American team since July 2022.

Klich, who joined Leeds United in July 2017, has made a total of 13 appearances this season, scoring twice.

He has a contract valid until June 30, 2024.
