Lodz airport with new destinations. A long time unseen carrier returns

Winter flight schedule from the W³adys³aw Reymont in £ ódŸ – known as Lublinek – was inaugurated on Sunday (October 30). It was then that the first Ryanair plane from Spanish Alicante was celebrated. The first planes flew to Milan and Brussels in the following days. – I will go with my family to each of these cities in turn. We like to travel, and now we have a plane, as the saying goes, says Joanna Spanialska from Pabianice near Łódź.

– I live in Brussels every day and my family is in Poland. Until now, I came rarely and mostly by car. Now I should be a more frequent guest – adds Krzysztof, who is planning to come to Christmas.

– We like to visit large European cities with our family. We plan such trips once a year. We recently visited Brussels. We flew from another airport, because there was no possibility of coming from Łódź yet. We didn’t see everything so we will definitely go back there. Now, however, we are thinking of going to Milan if we have such a possibility. On the first occasion, when the children will be free in schools, which will be compatible with the network of connections, we will definitely use it – we hear from Mr. Tomasz, another passenger.

Winter flight schedule

Ryanair currently offers 28 flights a week from £ boat on five routes. In addition to the three new airlines, they also fly to Dublin and London Stansted. – It will be a very good winter, because there have never been so many flights from our airport in this period. Usually airlines want to fly to a greater extent in summer, which is the charter season. As you can see this year, we do not fall into hibernation, which makes us happy – says Anna Midera, president of the Łódz Airport. Artur Fraj, director general of the port, has a similar opinion. – We caught the wind in sails. A very good charter season is behind us, and a sensational winter season is ahead of us. We hope that we will serve an additional 35,000 passengers a year, he says.

Lodz (and other places) can fly to Alicante twice a week. Calls are made on Thursdays and Sundays. Flights to Milan-Bergamo in Italy can be found in the flight network on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. On Tuesdays and Saturdays it is possible to fly to Brussels Charleroi in Belgium.

London Lutton from December 12

The Wizz airline also returns to the Łódź airport after many years of absence Air. Opens a regular connection to London Luton. The first plane after the break will land in Lodz on December 12. Wizz Air’s planes have already flown from Łódź in 2010-2013. At that time, they served the directions to Dortmund, London Luton and Stockholm Skavst. The break lasted almost 10 years. – First London Luton, but we look forward to further cooperation with these lines. We are looking forward to the return of pink-colored planes to the skies of Łódź, says President Anna Midera.

The planes will fly twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. An additional flight in the pre-Christmas period is scheduled for December 21 (Wednesday).

Good atmosphere for Lublinek

The Łódź airport has struggled with big problems for many years, which was sealed by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, the port began to recover from the crisis and develop. The summer season, which has been the best in a decade, has already shown this. The airport handled then over 41 thousand. passengers. – We are back on the path of development. This is good news after the pandemic and the changes resulting from the conflict in Ukraine, sums up Midera.
