Lisa Marie Presley is dead. Elvis Presley’s daughter was 54 years old
“It is with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley wrote in a press release sent to People.
Priscilla Presley confirmed that hours earlier her daughter had been rushed from her home in Calabasas, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, to a hospital in nearby West Hills. Paramedics called to the house earlier tried to resuscitate the singer, who probably had a heart attack.
According to TMZ, which relied on anonymous sources, the singer was put into an artificial coma and connected to life support after a cardiac arrest.
On Tuesday evening, Lisa Marie Presley and her mother were present at the Golden Globe Awards, where Mr. Austin Butler for Best Actor in the Elvis Biopic.
In addition to Danny Keough, whom she divorced in 1994, Lisa Marie Presley was also married to Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson and Michael Lockwood. In 2020, the singer’s son, 27-year-old Benjamin Keough, who had long struggled with depression and addictions, took his own life.
Lisa Marie Presley was the only child of Elvis Presley. Her legendary father died in 1977 at the age of 42 of a heart attack.
