Lisa Loring is dead. The actress was known for her role as Wednesday Addams
Lisa Loring played Wednesday Addams from 1964 to 1966. She died of a stroke, her daughter Vanessa Foumberg confirmed to Variety.
“She passed away peacefully with both daughters holding her hands,” Foumberg told the media.
Loring’s Wednesday was a sweet but serious girl who could be sullen and loved pets that were terrifying to others (including a deadly spider named Homer and a lizard named Lucifer). Her playmate was a headless doll. The dance that Loring presented on the show, inspired a popular scene from the Netflix series “Wednesday”..
Lisa Loring was born in the Marshall Islands to navy-serving parents. She lived in Hawaii and then moved to Los Angeles with her mother. She got her first modeling job when she was three. After “The Addams Family” she played mainly in series.
It didn’t bother Loring that she was mostly associated with her role as Wednesday, appearing at conventions and fan events over the years.
