The net profit of the KGHM Group in the first half of 2022 amounted to PLN 4.18 billion. In the same period last year, it was slightly over PLN 3.72 billion.
In the first half of 2022, the revenues of the KGHM Group from contracts with customers amounted to over PLN 17.9 billion (in the first half of 2021 – PLN 14.5 billion). Net profit on sales in H1 2022, it amounted to slightly over PLN 3 billion, profit before tax exceeded PLN 5.3 billion, and the net profit of the capital group reached PLN 4.18 billion (in the first half of 2021 it was slightly over PLN 3.72 billion) ) – the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
As indicated by KGHM in its management report, the increase in revenues relates mainly to revenues from the sale of copper – which increased by PLN 2,539 million, silver – an increase of PLN 346 million, and gold – here the increase amounted to PLN 120 million.

At the same time, the costs of the Capital Group in the first half of 2022 amounted to nearly PLN 14.9 billion and were higher than in the first half. 2021, when they reached PLN 11.7 billion.
“Increasing the cost of core business it is mainly the result of an increase in costs by nature by PLN 2,777 million, mainly in terms of an increase in the costs of materials and energy by PLN 2,226 million, costs of employee benefits by PLN 396 million and external services by PLN 159 million with a change in the adjustment due to changes in the state of products, production in ongoing by PLN 471 million and adjustments of the production of products for own needs by PLN -139 million “- the company explained in the report.
In the second quarter of 2022 alone, the revenues of the KGHM Group amounted to PLN 8,933 million, costs amounted to PLN 7.7 million, and the net profit amounted to slightly over PLN 2.28 billion (in the first quarter of 2022, the net result amounted to less than PLN 1, PLN 9 billion).
