Jose Mourinho is seriously considering parting ways with Roma. The Portuguese is reportedly keen to return to the Premier League.

Mourinho will become Roma’s manager in the summer of 2021. He led the team to a Conference League win last season. In Serie A, his team is at the forefront – so far they are fifth in it, but only a point behind second-placed Milan.

The Portuguese does not like everything about Rome. He complains especially about the club’s financial constraints, which do not allow him to fulfill his transfer desires.

Mourinho’s contract with Roma runs until mid-2024, but the experienced coach is already thinking about changing his employer. The Daily Mail claims the Portuguese would like to return to the Premier League. His agents are said to have already started working. In behind-the-scenes conversations, they made it clear that their client would be interested in taking a job at Chelsea.

Mourinho has already had two terms as manager of the Blues. Chelsea are faring well below expectations this season, but their authorities continue to ensure confidence in Graham Potter.

The Daily Mail says another job in London may be available soon. The further fate of David Moyes is uncertain, with West Ham trailing in the tail of the table in the current competition. Antonio Conte is set to leave Tottenham at the end of the season.

Returning to England is appealing to Mourinho not only for sporting reasons. His family – wife and children – remained in London.
