James Eugene Redmond Carrey rose to prominence in the early 1990s. Hollywood welcomed the Canadian with open arms, as did the beautiful women he made them laugh to tears. The million-dollar prankster has become a favorite of the ladies. But he was already busy. The only one (for a moment) turned out to be Melissa Womer.
With great feeling, however, career won and after eight years of marriage, Carrey signed divorce papers. The new love came suddenly. On the set of Dumb and Dumber, the comedian met Lauren Holly, who seemed to understand what fame meant. She understood, but only for a year. Wife number two was replaced by another actress after some time, Renee Zellweger. Carrey, in love, fell to his knees and proposed to a talented colleague. However, something went wrong, because the lovers broke off the engagement.
The 2000s brought Jim new, interesting roles, and finally, feelings. The artist lost the head of the “Playboy” model Jenny McCarthy. Without a doubt, they looked great together, and more importantly, they had a great time – until 2010. Four years later, the lovely blonde took root with Danny Wahlberg, while Carrey was then in love with the sensitive makeup artist Catherine White. The three-year relationship was supposed to cure both of depression and give hope for a better future. On September 28, 2015, a woman took her own life – days after another breakup… She took drugs she had previously stolen from her partner’s medicine cabinet: Percocet, Zofran, and Ambien, among others. Her body was discovered by friends.
Jim seemed devastated, White was nothing like his old self at the funeral. The world circulated photos showing him carrying the coffin of the deceased and comforting her relatives. Soon, the text messages he sent to the 28-year-old saw the light of day. The media claimed that he urged her to swallow the pills. Moreover, Cahtriona suspected that he had infected her with a venereal disease. The actor denied it, shifting the blame onto her, writing that “it could have come from someone she was with before”.
The Irish mother and ex-husband sued Carrey, but the charges were dropped 2.5 years later. Lawyers proved that the girl’s relatives falsified her medical records because they wanted to extort high compensation from the star. White barely spoke to her mother before her death.
Jim gave the feeling a chance for the last time in 2019 by getting involved with Ginger Gonzaga. Today, however, he is said to be single and still looking for someone to love. “I don’t believe in that story of staying together forever,” he said once. – 10 years with someone is enough. For ten more, you can give lots of love again,” he concluded.
