Poland and Ukraine are working on a new treaty that will further strengthen our mutual relations – said Jakub Kumoch, the head of the presidential International Policy Bureau in Kiev on Monday.

There is no second option, nor is there any second Polish policy. Poland on Ukraine has no other agenda; he practically speaks the same language as Ukraine, because we understand that the defense of Ukraine is also the defense of Poland – said Jakub Kumoch at a press conference in Kiev.

– That is why everything that happens in Poland at the time of Russian aggression will continue and it will continue until the victory, he assured.

Kumoch came to Ukraine at the invitation of the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, who called here a meeting of the so-called Kiev initiative. It was attended by secretaries of state and advisers to the presidents of Ukraine, Poland, EstoniaCzech Republic, Latvia, LithuaniaSlovakia, HungarianRomania and Moldova.

– These are the countries that this year achieved enormous success, which was winning the status of a candidate for membership in the European Union for Ukraine, and countries that supported Ukraine from the very beginning in terms of arms supplies, its European perspective and the issue of sanctions against Russia – reported Kumoch in an interview with Polish journalists.

“There is noticeable war fatigue in Western Europe”

Responding to a question about media reports on alleged delays in the supply of arms to Ukraine, which is fighting Russia, the head of the presidential International Policy Bureau admitted that there is a noticeable “war fatigue” in Western Europe.

– There is noticeable war fatigue in Western Europe. Fortunately, we still have very clear declarations from our key allies, the United States, and we still do not see a change in UK policy, which is unequivocal and on our side. And the countries of Central and Eastern Europe – nothing changes here – he pointed out.

Kumoch also drew attention to the physical possibilities of handing over weapons to Ukraine. – Poland has provided Ukraine with a lot of military aid, which is not a great secret and what the president says Andrzej Duda. However, of course, we are not a bottomless bag. However, we are still supporters of providing Ukraine with any kind of aid that brings this country closer to victory, he assured.

Jermak: It is very important that our partners are in one information field

The head of the Ukrainian president’s office, Andriy Yermak, explained that the goal of the Kiev Initiative is to coordinate the efforts of Ukraine and its partners, primarily in the field of security.

– We informed our partners about the situation at the front and the needs that are necessary for us to be even more successful. We talked about the continuation of sanctions pressures and security guarantees for Ukraine, he said.

As he said, it was agreed that meetings of advisers would also take place in the future. – It is very important that all our partners are in one information field, that our partners – directly from us – receive the latest news and that we can coordinate our efforts so that the victory is our common victory – said the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
