Currently, the police do not confirm that the arrested person is related to the break-in, but it is easy to combine some of the previously disclosed information.
According to a previous report, the Lapsus $ group, whose leader is a 17-year-old resident of Oxfordshire, is responsible for hacking the servers. Earlier, the media reported about the “16-year-old”, but the young hacker has already turned 17 – in addition, he was released on bail at the beginning of the year.
Matthew Keys (a Reuters journalist) reports that according to his sources: the arrest is related to an incursion into Rockstar Games and possibly Uber Technologies.
