German composer Kai Rosenkranz, known e.g. from the soundtrack Gothic seriesNowadays creating soundtrack for the remake of the first part, replied to Discord for another series of questions fans (we described the previous one here) regarding the latter production. In his posts, there were many details and interesting facts about the topic Gothic Remake – the most important of them are summarized below.
Before you go any further, let me add that we will not get another handful of information soon (if at all) – in the near future Germany intends to concentrate only on work.
THE HELMET ISSUE
It is worth mentioning that many of the questions to Kai Rosenkranz concerned helmets (less often shields) in Gothic Remake. For many reasons, the developers did not intend to add them, but the German assured that the community’s desire would at least be re-discussed.
ARCANIA THIS WAS NOT “REAL GOTHIC“… BUT THE” THREE “ALSO
In addition to matters relating to Gothic RemakeRosenkranz was also asked about the infamous Arcania. The German was far from criticizing the studio’s production Spellbound and saying “it wasn’t real Gothic“. He even stated that even the Piranha Bytes team did not manage to recreate the spirit of the “one” and “two” in Gothicu 3. In his opinion, the other developer should not be blamed for it any more. I do not know about you, but I subscribe to this statement.
I don’t know about yours, but in my opinion it emerges from it an image of a game that is well thought out, but still quite early in production. The more surprising is that the publisher he decided start with preorder right now. As a reminder, I will add that Gothic Remake is to be released on PC, PS5 and XSX / S.
