FIFA Targets Anonymous. The collective warns
Anonymous performs another operation. This time it concerns the International Football Federation. The collective delivered a message to FIFA demanding the immediate exclusion of Iran from the 2022 FIFA World Cup. It also warned that it could easily hack the institution and it would not take long to breach existing security measures.
Anonymous they became involved in “Operation FIFA” (OpFIFA), which aims to persuade the International Football Federation to exclude Iran from one of the most important sporting events in the world. As a result, there were messages and alerts on the web directly targeting FIFA and its members.
FIFA Targets Anonymous
The collective on Twitter pointed out that allowing participation in the state games, which is still swept by a wave of violent protests initiated after the death of Mahsa Amini and which provides Russia’s deadly drones, is supporting the killing of innocent people. This is why FIFA should exclude Iran from the 2022 World Cup.
In one of the entries published on Twitter Anonymous made a direct reference to FIFA President Giannini Infantino. They wrote: “We are watching you, you disregard our request to exclude Iran from WorldCup2022” and added: “We know very well that you are just as corrupt as your predecessor. You will soon witness some extraordinary surprises in our performance. Expect us.”
The members of the collective believe that they can break all FIFA protections within an hour. Looking at Anonymous’s achievements so far, especially the activities carried out under “Operation Russia”, it seems very likely. Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, hactivists have repeatedly shown the world that their capabilities are enormous, and that breaking the security measures of the Russian Ministry of Defense or the Duma monitoring system is not a major problem for them.
