After the recent attacks by Ukrainian troops in Crimea, Russian invaders began to quietly leave the peninsula with their families, said Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesman for the authorities of the Odessa region in southern Ukraine. He noted that “it is still difficult to talk about evacuation”. Meanwhile, Ukrainian military intelligence informed that the Russian administration in the annexed Crimea is ordering to cover up the explosions by all means.
On August 9, there was an explosion at the Saki military airfield near Novofedorivka in the Crimea, as a result of which about 20 Russian aircraft were destroyed or damaged. On August 16, a fire broke out in a transformer substation in the city of Dzhankoy and an ammunition warehouse was detonated in the nearby village of Majske.
The occupiers want to “prevent panic”
On Saturday, the Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) informed that the Russian administration in the annexed Crimea is ordering to cover up by all means the explosions that are increasingly taking place in military facilities and ammunition depots on the peninsula. According to intelligence, such an order was issued by the deputy defense minister Russia Dmitry Bulgakov. “When information about the destruction of military facilities reaches the public, the occupiers will speak of carelessness or carelessness (…) to prevent even greater panic,” said HUR. He suspected that by pointing to the alleged guilty parties, the Russian authorities would announce that they would be brought to justice.
“Good sign. Let them withdraw slowly”
HUR also stated that after August explosions at military facilities in Crimea, thousands of Russians are trying to leave the territory as soon as possible.
It is still difficult to talk about the evacuation of Russian soldiers from the occupied Crimea, but we can see that after the recent attacks by Ukrainian troops, the invaders began to quietly leave with their families, the spokesman for the Odessa Oblast in the south announced on Saturday Ukraine Serhiy Bratchuk, quoted by UNIAN agency.
– It’s a good sign. Let them slowly withdraw and take their belongings – added the representative of the regional administration.
Russia withdraws fighters from Crimea. Information from a secret NATO report
After a series of explosions in the occupied Crimea, Russia apparently withdraws its fighters from there to protect them from future attacks, Business Insider reported on Friday, citing a secret report FOR THISreached by journalists.
According to NATO data, the Russian armed forces have already deployed 10 of their fighters from Crimea to Russian territory – six Su-35S and four MiG-31BMs. At the same time, the Kremlin increased the number of surface-to-air tactical missiles on the peninsula in order to defend itself against future shelling.
Russia annexed Crimea in 2014. The international community declared the annexation illegal. Since the Kremlin’s invasion of Ukraine that began on February 24, the peninsula has been the base of the aggressor’s troops attacking the territories of southern Ukraine.
