Erling Haaland does not intend to play for Manchester City until the end of his career. His father admitted that the 22-year-old would also like to prove himself in other leagues.
For many months, Haaland was sought after by virtually all top European clubs. The Norwegian chose to play for Manchester City. He entered the Premier League with a bang – he scored eleven goals in seven rounds.
The clubs that have been rejected by the Norwegian so far, however, can hope to bring him back one day. The father of the football player says it openly.
Alf-Inge Haaland admitted that his son is unlikely to spend a decade in Manchester City. According to him, the next transfer may take place quickly, in three years.
– I think Erling wants to test his abilities in every league. He could play in one for a maximum of three or four years. 2.5 years in Germany, 2.5 years in England, then Spain, Italy, France, right? – Haaland-senior laughed in the documentary “Haaland – The Big Decision”.
– It is not known if this will be the case. However, I think he would like to test his skills in other big leagues – added the Norwegian.
Haaland’s contract with Manchester City runs until mid-2027. According to the English media, it has a breakaway clause that exceeds EUR 150 million.
