– I would like to dispel all fears: there is no risk of disrupting electricity and heat supplies in the coming season – said the president of PGE at the press conference.
He added that the group uses coal from PGG and other domestic mines, supporting itself with imports. In turn, the gas in the group’s units is mainly from PGNiG mines, so there is no risk of stopping its supplies.
– There are no indications that the threat is real, but it is not known what Vladimir Putin will do when it comes to system gas – said Dąbrowski.
– The situation is not comfortable for all of us, it is changeable and difficult – he added.
Dąbrowski informed that PGE Paliwa is to import 10 million tonnes of ordered imported coal by April 30, 2023. From September, 1.1 million tons are to reach Poland every month, imports in 2022 will amount to approx. 8 million tons.
According to the estimates presented at the conference, 30-40 percent of the 10 million tons of imported coal can be sifted out. that is over 3 million tons of assortments that can be used by individual recipients, while the rest – about 7 million tons of coal dust will go to heating plants, energy and industry.
