Echoes of the Pope’s words. Ukraine’s unprecedented move

– We carefully read the entire quote from Pope Francis and, first of all, we decided to invite an apostolic nuncio to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to express Ukraine’s disappointment with these words – said the Ukrainian minister during a briefing with his Italian counterpart Luigi di Maio in Kiev.

Kuleba informed that the nuncio was at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday and that a communiqué on this matter is to be published soon. He noted that the invitation of the nuncio to the ministry was quite an unprecedented case.

The nuncio was invited in connection with the Pope’s words in the general audience on Wednesday. Then he said: – I am thinking of that poor girl, blown up by a bomb under the seat of the car (…) The innocent pay for the war, the innocent (…) “- he added, referring to the death of Daria Dugina, daughter and associate of the adviser President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, Alexander Dugin.

Dugin is an ideologist of Russian imperialism and a supporter of the invasion of Ukraine. As Ukrinform points out, his daughter also supported Russian aggression.
