Coup in Peru. President Pedro Castillo arrested
101 out of 130 parliamentarians voted for the resignation of the president. Pedro Castillo he was accused of being “morally unfit” to govern the state.

The vote in Congress comes after Castillo ordered a nighttime curfew, as well as a reorganization of the judiciary and prosecution, which is investigating him for alleged corruption and influence peddling – which he denies.
The vote put an end to Castillo’s tumultuous 17-month ruleduring which there have already been six criminal investigations and two unsuccessful attempts to indict him.
